About the Editor

Edward Chu
Chief of Medical Oncology
Yale School of Medicine

Dr Chu is a graduate of Brown University with B.S., M.M.S., and M.D. degrees. He also completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Brown before moving to the National Cancer Institute where he completed a fellowship in Medical Oncology and subsequently served as a tenured Senior Clinical Investigator. In 1996, Dr Chu was recruited to Yale to assume the positions of Chief of Medical Oncology and Director of the VACT Cancer Center at the West Haven Veterans Administration Hospital and to be Co-Director of the Developmental Therapeutics Research Program at Yale Cancer Center.

David Cunningham
Head of Gastrointestinal and Lymphoma
Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust

Professor David Cunningham is the Head of the Gastrointestinal and Lymphoma Units of the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. He is a graduate Glasgow University where he was also Cancer Research Campaign Fellow. He completed his Medical Oncology training in London and served as a Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Cancer Research prior to his current position. Professor Cunningham is a leader in the field of gastrointestinal malignancies and serves as Chair of the National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) Upper GI Clinical Studies Group, South West London Cancer Network Upper Gastrointestinal Tumor Working Group and the Pan London Specialty Training Committee in Medical Oncology.
