Perioperative Complications of Radical Retropubic Prostatectomy

Radical retropubic prostatectomy has long been considered one of the most difficult procedures in the urologists armamentarium. Therefore, we performed a thorough review of recent literature regarding intraoperative and postoperative complications. The intent of this effort is to review established data regarding the most frequently seen complications and to highlight recent developments regarding the prevention or treatment of such complications.
